Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmya) is a sacred text of thirteen chapters and seven hundred verses glorifying the Divine Mother's triumph over the demon Mahishasura. Its recitation — without the accompanying havan — is commissioned on its own for steady spiritual practice, protection, and to draw the Devi's grace into the home.दुर्गा सप्तशती (देवी महात्म्य) तेरह अध्यायों एवं सात सौ श्लोकों का एक पवित्र ग्रंथ है जो दिव्य माता की राक्षस महिषासुर पर विजय की महिमा का वर्णन करता है। हवन के बिना केवल इसका पाठ, नियमित साधना, सुरक्षा एवं घर में देवी की कृपा लाने हेतु स्वतंत्र रूप से कराया जाता है।
The path opens with Devi Kavach, Argala Stotra and Keelak Stotra, followed by all thirteen chapters read in sequence, and closes with the Devi Suktam and Aarti.पाठ का आरंभ देवी कवच, अर्गला स्तोत्र एवं कीलक स्तोत्र से होता है, इसके पश्चात सभी तेरह अध्याय क्रमशः पढ़े जाते हैं, तथा देवी सूक्तम एवं आरती के साथ समापन होता है।
